In Game Vocab

8 words — what they mean inside the game

ACROSS

preposition

From one side to the other — moving over the full width of a space or surface.

I sprinted across the open field before the sniper on the tower could get a clear shot.

THROUGH

preposition

From one end to the other of an enclosed space — entering and then exiting.

I dashed through the tunnel and emerged on the far side just before the gate closed.

BETWEEN

preposition

In the space that separates two specific things or players.

The health pack is sitting between the two pillars — grab it before anyone else does.

BENEATH

preposition

Directly below something — physically lower than the object or surface above.

There is a hidden vault beneath the main platform — drop down and walk toward the far wall.

ALONG

preposition

Moving beside something and following its length — not crossing it.

Run along the river bank — it keeps you hidden from the players on the ridge above.

TOWARD

preposition

In the direction of something — moving closer to a target or destination.

Move toward the glowing door on the north wall — that is the entrance to the boss arena.

BEYOND

preposition

On the other side of something — further than a boundary, wall, or landmark.

The legendary chest is beyond the lava zone — you need fireproof boots to reach it safely.

WITHIN

preposition

Inside the limits or boundaries of something — not going outside a defined area.

Stay within the safe zone — if you go outside it, you lose health every second.
